Not Going Anywhere For A While?....
Now you know like I know, that the MAN ( 13 years from when he dodged the bullet the first time..... thats awkward huh?) has been looking for OJ to mess up, so they can catch him when he fell......OJ did just that. Also I just went to CNN.com and they are currently running a poll witht the title "Should OJ spend the rest of his life in jail?" 20% said no......80% said yes. Not a good look at all.
Kanye West Performs 2nd Single "Heartless"
Its only a minute long but, what I did hear of it I liked. I was under the impression the whole or majority of the album was going to be done using the vocoder...if it sounds anything like this then I am looking forward to it cause you know K. West is extra creative.

T-Pain vs His Vocoder
HAHAHA, this is the kind of free time you have when you charge $85,000 for a hook. Also T-Pain signed an endorsement deal to have his own version of the vocoder, so now he is really about to get paid. Shouts out to T-Pain.

Jay-Z has decided to put on concert in Michigan and Florida.
Jay will kick off the weekend with a show in Detroit on Saturday. The performance will promote voter registration, for Barack Obama . Voter registration for Michigan is Monday, October 6th, Jay-Z's free shows are hoping to get new voters registered before that date. Those 18 and older will be able to pick up one free ticket at Obama campaign offices, which will allow them to attend the show and the rally afterwards.
Paper Trail Album Review
4 out 5
(My rank: #3 out of his 6 albums)
I am really proud of T.I. on this album. He has def made some changes on his outlook on life. With all the media attention he has recieved as of late, he has been able to turn alot of the negatives aspects into postitve ones. During an interview with Fader Magazine, T.I. mentioned that this is been the first time in a while that he has actually put pen to paper....and it def shows. In a industry where "swag" has replaced "lyricism", "Paper Trail" is able to intertwine the two attributes together; and the finshed product shows his formula was very successful. I have been a advent T.I. listener since "I'm Serious"(2001) and this is by far his best album to date.
Lyrically T.I. has stepped up his usually bravodo-filled rap to touch on real life situatons of success viewed from his eyes. This is referenced in songs such as ("Ready For Whatever", "Live Your Life", "No Matter What", "My Life Your Entertainment", "Slide Show" ,"Dead and Gone"). Of course artist have to justify their thug so he provides tracks ("I'm Illy", "What up, Whats Haapnin", and "Swagga Like Us") and dont worry ladies T.I. didn't forget about his female fans with songs ("Whatever You Like", "Porn Star").
Guest apperances include John Legend, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Swiss Beatz, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, and B.o.B
I feel this one is a definite buy for anyone who loves Hip-Hop, and anyone who is looking to finally hear some quality music from an artist. Shouts out to T.I., he did his thing on this album.

Keynote Speaker- Common
This is the first of many post where I highlight a verse from an artist that stood out to me. Giving props to those who take time writing the words the that affect millions.
(No Shawty Lo verses here hahaha)
Common-The 6th Sense (2nd Verse)
"In front of two-inch glass and Arabs I order fries
Inspiration when I write, I see my daughters eyes
I'm the truth across the table from corporate lies
Immortalized by the realness I bring to it
If revolution had a movie, I'd be theme music
My music, you either fight, fuck, or dream to it
My life is one big rhyme, I try to scheme through it
Through my shell, never know what the divine would bring to it
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want millions
More than money saved, I want to save children
Dealing with alcoholism and afro-centricity
A complex man drawn off of simplicity
Reality is frisking me
This industry will make you lose intensity
The Common Sense in me remembers the basement
I'm Morpheus in this Hip-Hop Matrix, exposing fake shit"
