FELA! The Musical (That's Not Black Thought lol)

This is would be crazy to go see for real.

The play is directed by Bill T. Jones and highlights the incredible mind of one of Nigeria's brightest stars. Played by Sahr Ngauja, it tells the story of a man going to medical school in London, where he studied his passion for music instead. He then travels to the United States where he is engulfed with the sounds of the late James Brown. With the help of activist Sandra Isidore, he developed the political voice he used to ignite his people in Nigeria.

He was a trumpeter, saxophonist, occasional keyboardist and drummer....now that's a bad man. Below is one of my favorite songs by Fela.
